The March of Penguins

Most of Animal behaviours are based on ''the study of group'' that we are used to see in human beings. In other words, this study brings out this issue that some animals have ''emotional intellegence'' forcing them living together and sharing their needs. an excellent example of such intelligence can be found in penguins. Many people firstly heard about this kind of intellegence while watching the documentary named ''The march of Penguins''. In the documentary, In the polars, female penguins lay eggs in about - 40 C tempeture degree. and they save the eggs with their fury legs and tummied. If the eggs come out, they freeze in cruel cold. Even if they survive the cold. Females and males come close side by side and females transfer eggs to males. Penguins must be very careful in this process because the eggs can be freeezed. Then, for females, the deadly journey initiate toward to sea since some of them would not come back. But, the worst, the baby covered with eggs will need food when the eggs break.

Penguin who returns late cause her newborn baby die. On the other hand, male penguins keep the eggs from freezing. Even penguins who are used to cold tempetures sometimes fail to survive harsh winters. They must snuggle together for protecting freezing wind.

For a while, Female reach the sea where has many fresh food for their babies. But, some of them become victim of the other sea hunters. At last, with their foods, most of penguins come back to home. Meanwhile, few eggs break and some of baby penguins come out. Admiringly, all female penguins find their family without any hesitation and begin feeding their babies.

This documentary influncedTV and film industry and won the Oscar award but the more important thing than this award, this documentary prove that penguins have emotional intellegence that we assume that only Human Beings have.
