SUMMARY OF “BEYOND RİVALRY”

Author Elizabeth Stark believe that sibling relationship probably can be the only way
which provides a link to past with the warmth of early family life for elderly people. The author claims that siblings relationship generally weaken due to social connections as well as carriers, marriage and having own family. The author describe some deep psychological factors like death and parental sickness would bring sibling’s together or separate much more than they really are by triggering deeply their emotional background. According to the author, after death of mother or father, if one of siblings can substitute parent, this substitution make them closer. However, the author refer that deeply competition sleeping beyond to past prevents from their getting along each other. Conclusion, the author implies that unlike being friendship or spouse, the only bond linking to nice recollection is being sibling.
